POSITION SUMMARY
Manager Design is a leadership role within the Bengaluru DS team and S/he will:
  • Be a creative leaver and drive quality enhancement across all design verticals.o Brings design inspiration and thought leadership to the design vertical setting the long-term vision, strategies and driving delivery of innovative, high caliber solutions for all engagements. o Conceive and implement design guidelines, and strategies in various creative projects and overseeing them to completion Lead brainstorming/creative sessions to generate ideas with both consulting team as well as DS teams
  • In partnership with the DS head, develop and deliver design strategy service offering
  • Help drive innovation and engaging partnerships with BCG Consulting team
  • Develop understanding of current client engagements – products, services, target audience, competitors’ activities and design clear, persuasive, original solutions
  • Keep up to date with design industry trends; monitoring the effectiveness of current campaigns and proactively suggest ideas to further current engagements

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In line with Global Design Studio visions, set strategies, action plan and team processes for the Design vertical

  • Responsible for the strategy vertical setup and operations
  • Complete ownership of quality across DS verticals
  • Identifying and setting-up "best in class" organizational practices, operating processes and service portfolio
  • Partner with internal clients (e.g. client service teams), Global DS, to provide cutting edge, innovative solutions for communicating with clients and internally
  • Monitor the market for trends and implement new and enhanced servicesProvide leadership and inculcate innovative thinking into the project teams
  • Management, monitoring and continuous development of underlying teams
  • Engaging with DS leadership on future vision, external business trends, staff requirements
  • Providing innovative, creative insights through introduction of new services, tools and technologies into the system
  • Development of concepts to improve the quality of internal production, implementation of new worldwide-consistent standardsDefine and maintain high quality deliverable and other service levels across teams
  • Establish and monitor service levels to ensure consistent delivery of high quality, on-time materials in support of our client teams
  • Develop and maintain consistent mechanisms for customer feedback to measure satisfaction
  • Ensure periodic review and reporting against KPIs and other performance metrics for both internal and outsourced services
  • Management, monitoring, and continuous development of slides, editing and translation services, processes and prioritization guidelines
  • Development of concepts to improve the quality of internal slide production, implementation of new worldwide-consistent standardsEstablish rich and engaging partnerships with BCG Consulting teams
  • Conduct regular training of consulting staff on slide making and effective utilization of Design Studios
  • Take regular feedback on services and ensure effective communication and high satisfaction levels between DS and consulting teamsManagement of internal and external resources and the overall vertical
  • Hire, train and develop internal team members; regularly monitor and communicate performance, provide ongoing development and coaching
  • Maintain high level of team engagement and motivation & coach senior team members to be good service and people managers
  • Ensuring smooth coordination between design center teams and BCG consulting teams across offices
  • Plan for appropriate resourcing and team structure to meet the evolving needs of business
  • Maintaining active communication and sharing best practices with other verticals
  • Maintain external professional relationships to ensure the ongoing availability of specialized expertise, gifted freelancers, and reputable studios/producers when their services are required

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Master's Degree in business administration or related field
  • 10-12 years relevant years of experience in an MNC / professional services environment
  • Preferable to have management experience in design/creative team setups
  • Strong conceptual and design skills with experience in improving the conceptual, technical and creative performance of teams
  • Demonstrated capability to understand and apply principles of visual organization, composition, information, hierarchy, symbolic representation, typography, aesthetics, and the construction of meaningful designs
